My non-varsity women’s choir (The Gilmore Girls) got sweepstakes…again! They earned straight 1’s from all judges in concert & sight-reading.

My non-varsity men’s choir got a superior rating (1) in concert and an excellent rating (2) in sight-reading. What is even more impressive about this is that it is the first time this group has gone to UIL - an excellent first showing! And they did all this…with only 14 members (10 freshmen, 4 sophomores). Two students were totally new to choir, one of whom transferred to our school two months ago… from Venezuela!

I am so proud of both groups’ hard work!

My colleague, Erin Norvelle, had a great day as well. Her sub non-varsity treble chorus (freshmen girls) got sweepstakes, earning straight 1’s from all judges in concert & sight-reading, and her varsity mixed choir did the same.

What a great day for College Park!
